The history of Tree of Life Interfaith Temple, as shared by Looking back, I can see now how it has all been so beautifully orchestrated to bring us to just this place in the manifestation of our vision. The Unseen Hand, of course, knew all along what was yearning for expression. The seed of the vision landed in my heart in 2005, in the form of a poem called What If?, but it has long been cultivated by many within our blessed community over the years. But, let’s start at the beginning, as the story is quite an amazing one. |

The Tree of Life Interfaith Temple Is Born! |
A New Day: Expanding the What If? Vision In 2018, I handed over the running of the seminary program to the Temple and to other Tree of Life ministers who would become the guides for new seminarians and Rev. Carol LaChance became the new Seminary Director. In this way, our amazing What If? vision could go out and serve many more seminarians than I ever could alone. In 2020, I stepped down from being Presiding Minister and Rev. Linda Goodman stepped into the role. Rev. Linda served as the Presiding Minister for four and a half years, skillfully guiding us through COVID and laying down new processes and guidelines for Temple leadership. Today, in January 2025, Rev. Linda will hand over the reins to Rev. Jan (Ahjan) Grossman, currently serving as Seminary Director, who will become our new Presiding Minister. Rev. Peggy Petahtegoose will become the new Seminary Director. The vision seeded in the What If? continues to grow and blossom! And, after many years of dreaming of having our own space, the Temple now owns a space in Amherst, NH, the very place where I initially started the seminary. We are poised, ready and ripe to grow into the next phase of our evolution! Many Joyful Blessings! |
