Gateway to the Gayatri

In the ancient times of India, about 2500-2300 years ago, there came into existence a great Sanskrit mantra; the Gayatri Mantra.  It is one of the most ancient and revered mantras, sung and chanted worldwide to this day.  It is referenced that Siddhartha Gautama, the Buddha himself, recited this very same mantra that we will explore together.

Where did this mantra come from?  What does it have to do with us today?  We will hear an enjoyable story of its origin that reflects the ongoing human battle between our lower and higher selves.  And, of course, we will take it into meditation.
