The Spirit of Water - A Service for Children of all Ages

This offering is intended as a light-hearted yet sacred exploration of the Spirit of Water. This spirit is a life-giving presence in all of humanity and our planet. The service, the first specifically designed for children, will honor the mystery of water while offering our gratitude for her life-giving forces. We’ll briefly yet reverently discover how people across traditions hold the sacredness of water, offer song in appreciation and participate in a simple water blessing. Oh yes, and we’ll end on a note of Peace, Love and Joy! This service is appropriate for children of all ages and the entire Tree of Life Community. For the parents, please note that short videos are included in the presentation. For those on-line you may wish to have a glass of water at hand for the blessing ritual.

Rev. Jan Grossman: I have had a deep respect for and relationship with Mother Earth since childhood and love to witness and support subsequent generation’s discovery of nature. I also have a profound sense of the spiritual often hidden in humanity. If I can open any portals into the Mystery of it all, I am a happy camper. I am an ordained Interfaith minister through the Tree of Life Interfaith Temple and hold my degree in Child Development. I have taught for years in early childhood classes including Waldorf Education.
