Choosing the Sacred Path - The Hopi Prophecy Rock

A single white vein cutting through a “blessing stone” found on a Cape Cod beach brings us to this service. Oddly, on the other side of the rock the single vein divided into two distinct paths. The stone came home with me as I was reminded of the ancient spiritual insight carved into the Hopi Prophecy Rock. In recent services we’ve experienced tales of balance, cosmic cycles and heart shifts guiding us toward hope for the Earth and humankind. What wisdom do the Hopi Elders have to share with us about humanity’s journey? We’ll turn to the ancient Hopi sandstone petroglyph and consider the discerning choice which is ours between the two divergent paths. Together we’ll traverse the Sacred Path and look toward the Era of Purification, once we get through this Time of Purification.

About the Presenter: The Native traditions have intrigued and inspired me since I was a child, just as this beach rock did from a recent vacation on Cape Cod. The stone suggested that I revisit the Hopi Prophecy. I was happy to oblige. I am a minister of the Tree of Life interfaith Temple and was curious to hear from a Native tradition what they have to tell us about these challenging times that we are living in
