CLASSES AND WORKSHOPS

We grow spiritually through exposure and learning from a variety of faith traditions. Sometimes this is experiential, sometimes intellectual, and sometimes it's a mix of these (or other) modalities. Sometimes we learn by guiding others!

The classes and workshops offered through the Tree of Life Interfaith Temple are open to any interested individual. These offerings require a low-to-medium amount of time commitment for class sessions and little or no time outside of class time for participants. Any friend or member of the Temple is encouraged to share their skills by leading a class or workshop.

Please take a moment and review our offerings to see what might speak to you. New classes and workshops are usually added seasonally.

    A Course in Miracles
    CORRINE NIKOLENKO

A Course in Miracles (ACIM) discussion group for anyone interested in learning about the Course for the first time, or for those with experience interested in sharing their interpretations of the material. ACIM is a form of "spiritual psychology", where you can learn to see the peace instead of the chaos of life. The course uses Christian terms in the material, but any terms can be substituted for those used in this self-taught course. The course aims at removing the blocks to the awareness of love's presence. "This course can therefore be summed up very simply in this way: Nothing real can be threatened. Nothing unreal exists. Herein lies the peace of God." Introduction, ACIM.

Program Objectives and Outcomes: To give participants possibly another path to inner peace to practice.

Required / Suggested Reading: A Course in Miracles (Combined book) with the Text, Workbook for Students, and Manual for Teachers in one book. (Most editions being sold now are the combined this way.) It is published by the Foundation for Inner Peace. Additional optional recommended reading is A Return to Love by Marianne Williamson, Love is Letting Go of Fear by Gerald Jampolsky, MD, and A Course in Miracles Made Easy by Alan Cohen.

    Prerequisites: None

About Corrine: I am a 25-year spiritual seeker. Interested in learning about and discussing all types of spirituality in my spare time. I have spent 25 years on and off studying A Course in Miracles. I facilitated an ACIM discussion group in my United Methodist church in Sacramento, CA in 2004. The group continued on their own for 5 years after I moved to NH, so I guess they liked it.

    Second Saturday Deep Gong Immersion

    REV. LINDA GOODMAN

Gongs have been tools for healing, relaxation, and connecting with Spirit for thousands of years. There is evidence that places the use of the gong as far back as 16,000 B.C.

In a gong bath, you simply lie back and let the deep, penetrating sounds of the gong wash over you (hence the term "bath"). The frequencies of the gong will quickly transport you into the theta and delta brain waves of deepest meditation where guidance may be received, buried emotional trauma may be released, and healing may occur at the innermost vibrational level.

We welcome you into this altered state.

Program Objectives:  Achieving a state of deep relaxation, meditation, and healing.

Beloved:  World Religions and Mystical Oneness

Can you call yourself interfaith without knowing about the faiths?

Tree of Life Interfaith Temple was originally created as a holding vessel for our interfaith seminary. For those blessed to have been able to attend the seminary, learning about various religions of the world was a key component of the program. But we, as a Temple, have grown beyond being a space only for our ordained ministers. We now find ourselves a spiritual home to many people who have not attended seminary - either ours or elsewhere - as well as those who ordained with another organization. This coming school year, we invite all who are interested to join our Spiritual Mentoring Certificate Program students in a survey of world religions and a dip into mystical oneness. By holding both the distinct aspects of religions and the mystical depths at which they overlap, we will approach the balance and bliss that interfaith can offer. Each month we will deep dive into a particular faith or spiritual tradition as well as having a spiritual experience that –might, possibly– bring us into the mystical.

Participants are encouraged to attend all sessions, and we understand that ‘life happens'.

Program Objectives and Outcomes:  At the end of this course, participants will be able to (1) demonstrate familiarity with at least five religious traditions, including naming one distinctive element from each; (2) explain the concept of mystical oneness; (3) demonstrate at least three spiritual practices from different spiritual/religious traditions.

Who will this program benefit?  This program will benefit all who seek to understand different spiritual / religious traditions and all who want to deepen their interfaith perspective.

Required/Recommended Reading:  To be determined prior to the first class.

    Minimum/Maximum Number of Participants:  2/12

    Start/End Date:  October 8, 2025/June 10, 2026

    Class Day and Dates:  Second Wednesday of each month: 10/8, 11/12, 12/10, 1/14, 2/11, 3/11, 4/8, 5/13, 6/10

    Start/End Time:  6 PM/8 PM

Number of Classes in the Session: 9

    Frequency:  Monthly

Are participants required to attend all classes, or select individual classes to attend?  All classes required

    Tuition:  $99

    Location:  online via Zoom
